Artist: Deanna E. Pickett-Frye
My work consists of visual representations of internal conflicts, emotions, and events. Much of my work is large and abstract mixed media paintings. I love the freedom and spontaneity of not being restricted to one specific media. Although the subject matter continues to change from series to series, each piece has a specific meaning that is important to me at that particular time.
I received my BFA in Painting & Drawing and Visual Arts Studies from the University of North Texas. Some of my greatest inspiration has come from being an art teacher. Teaching today’s youth about the world of art is truly a fulfilling career.
